Drive safely
EVMotor is entertainment only. Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. Do not use or look at the screen while driving; let a passenger do it, or use it while parked. Stay safe and keep your eyes on the road. Engine sounds can mask sirens, horns and other warnings, so keep the volume sensible. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws.
We take no responsibility for any use of the screen while driving. We have no obligation or liability whatsoever if you crash, hurt yourself or others, or cause any damage or loss while using EVMotor.
How EVMotor works
We rev the engine based on GPS signals. The engine sound follows your location and speed, which your browser measures with GPS once you allow location access. Without location access the engine cannot rev. Location is processed in your browser only. See the privacy policy.
Provided "as is"
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Speed and sound are estimated from your device's GPS and may be delayed or inaccurate. EVMotor is not a speedometer and must not be used to judge your speed.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any accident, injury, fine, loss or damage arising from your use of EVMotor. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Subscription
Pro costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and you can cancel any time. A monthly subscription renews every month and a yearly one every year until you cancel. A subscription can be linked to up to 2 cars or other devices. New subscriptions are sold through Link, the checkout of our payment partner Stripe, and you can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. Stripe is the seller of record for the payment: it charges and pays the sales tax or VAT, sends your receipts and handles refund requests. To cancel, update your card or see receipts, sign in at link.com with the email address you paid with.
After cancelling you keep access until the end of the month or year you paid for, and you will not be charged again.
This works the same for monthly and yearly plans: you can cancel a yearly plan at any time, it then won't renew, and you keep Pro for the rest of the year you paid for. We don't refund the unused part of a month or year, unless the law where you live requires it. If something isn't working for you, email us at lifemock@gmail.com and we'll look at it.
No affiliation
EVMotor is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Porsche, Ferrari or any other car maker. All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe the kind of sound being imitated.
Cars and sounds may change
The cars, sounds, names and pictures in EVMotor are not fixed. We add new ones over time, and we may also rename, change or remove any of them at any time. This can happen because of things outside our control, for example when a car maker or other rights holder asks us to, when the law requires it, or when a sound no longer works well enough.
When a car has to go, we will try to replace it with a similar sound under a general name, such as "Italian V12", but we can't promise that. EVMotor Pro gives you access to the cars and sounds that are available at the time, not to any particular car or name. If a change means EVMotor is no longer worth it to you, you can cancel any time, as described under Subscription.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to break or overload it, or use it in a way that is unlawful.
Changes
We may change the service or these terms. Continuing to use EVMotor after a change means you accept it. Contact: lifemock@gmail.com.
